Printer touch screen terminal
For a management of a print fleet even more efficient particularly in terms of privacy and security, the user authentication, prior to any action on the multifunction, is an important element to take into account. GESPAGE offers locking functions of the multifunction via a Printer touch screen terminal or an embedded software terminal in the multifunction. Before making a copy, the user will have to authenticate. This allows to allocate a job code to a user or a service for creating analytical and statistical reports.
A hardware terminal is equipment of Cartadis type which performs functions that are not available natively on the printing or copying point.
- User authentication by different means :
- Login /password.
- Print code.
- Identification card (with or without entry of a PIN code).
- Selection or deletion of the documents to print.
- Release of the pending prints.
- Payment of the documents to print.
- Viewing the user credit.
- Management of different user card technologies (RFID authentication card or Cartadis privative electronic purse card, Izly or Moneo).
- Control of access to the copy function.
- Scan to email.
For printer touch screen terminal, the jobs sent by the users will remain on Gespage server until they are released by using one of the above authentication mode. Access control and job management may be managed from a terminal like a cPad. cPad is a touch screen terminal featuring a colour screen which is connected to the multifunction and to the network. It locks the access to the copier. For printing or making copies, users will have to authenticate, either with their network account, with a PIN code or with a badge. Once authenticated, the user will see the list of his pending jobs and select one or several or all of his documents and request for the printing.
Independent from equipment brands, Gespage solution enables a fleet of different MFP and printers to be unified. This harmonization is made possible by using the terminals of Cartadis origin.
The terminals particularly suiting to the Gespage solution are:
Embedded terminals for MFP Brother / Epson / Konica Minolta / Kyocera / Lexmark / OKI / Ricoh / Sharp / Toshiba / Xerox: eTerminal means « embedded Terminal ». Gespage is porting its knowhow inside the MFP. The console of the MFP is used to display and select the documents to print, enter codes of accounting allocation or display the remaining quota for printing. | |
cPad: The terminal with a 7 inch touchscreen being connected to most of the MFP on the market. Associated with the RFID card reader Cartadis TCM3, it simplifies the use of the MFP by increasing the productivity. |
